Testing out a couple of mixing things today so bagged a few old funky jams to mess with. I'm also seeing what some of my other snares sound like recorded. On this tune I'm using a Premier XPK 14x5 wood shell (made of Birch/Eucalyptus) that I've finally got the snare mechanism fixed on.
