we used to drop the mic like a vandal and hit the stage, like a light of a thousand candles
we hit it hard and fast and gave it more gas, to go further, further than we ever had
so many open doors, we would clear the floors, the people spoke and we listened when they wanted more
it was a revolution and we had the solution, to get rid of the rampant musical pollution
it was a dangerous run, but it had to be done, we were the ones to revolutionize the world son
at the top of the clouds, we were loud and proud and allowed you the knowledge of real life from the ground
the dirt is a real place we used to call home, concrete pillows was all we known
it was a different time, in a different land, i hope you all start to realize and understand
asphalt jungle with old tin cans, we all just wanted to get to the red sand, ya, the red sand, ya

the red sand equals life, without the hardknock strife, we had nothing to goto and nowhere that was daylight, but the red sand

it was a beautiful dream and it seemed to gleam, like a diamond in a rough storm, of the bit obscene
but it was ours and we held it like a fresh new ride, all pimped out with lights and speakers, pumpin loud inside
hold on to your dreams and never give up, theres a far distant chance that it could all blowup
but in the scope of things, when its all said and done your the one who decides, what you need to become
hold it tightly as you can in your callused hand, you work hard enough and start to lay out your plan
