I've spent hours pacing halls.
Staring at the pictures on the walls
Questioning where I could have made a change
Wondering where I went wrong

I've tried and although I cant face the truth
To find where I lost my youth
Bring back the days when I was young
Able to fly, able to have fun

So where has all that time gone
Did we let it slip away
Are we waiting for a new light at dawn
Or were we blinded by the sun
Cant we open our eyes
Cant we see what we've become
Are we all.... blinded by the sun

Our reflections change over time
But our childish heart it stays divine
Don't let your heart be destroyed by what you see
Just set it free

So where has all our youth gone
Did we let it fade to grey
Are we waiting for that new light at dawn
Don't be blinded by the sun
We need to open our eyes
We need to see what we've become
So we are not so blinded by the sun

So let the laughter fill our sails
let it carry us
Let it turn our old wounds to dust
Let it break the chains that hold us down

So where have all our burdens gone
Did we give them all away
We are standing as children at dawn
We are embracing the sun
With our open eyes
Just see what we've become
We are reborn in the sun
