Harmonic Changes
Another great, groove-laden track from Marc. Nice slow tempo meant it needed a good steady beat.
Although the tempo is slow enough for one-handed 16ths on the hi-hat, I opted to play them two-handed (i.e. LRLRLRLR) because it gave me the dynamic expression I felt the track needed. By really going to town on the inter-beat dynamics on the hi-hat, I could imbue the track with a steady drive but give it a slightly lazy lilt at the same time.

Slow and mid-tempo grooves are often underestimated, but in fact they are more difficult. Because there is more room in the pocket you need to place everything in the right spots. I say job well done! :W
