Yeah, warm bass sound that matches the cool mix! Great work Kimbo! +1
kimbo
kimbo thanks for bothering to listen to yet another mix... but I reckon it was worth doing... no? +1

Nice one Kimbo. Maybe I could some guitar somewhere? Any suggestions where?

P.S. why is the overall wave so squashed? When I look at Ernies mix the volume was ok.

kimbo
kimbo ive just started gain staging everything like back in the analog days... so the volume at the end is where it needs to be for mastering... not as hot as we all normally run it... just turn it up mate! as for your guitar I dunno where you'd fit your stylee into this.... +1
TeeGee
TeeGee ouch!!! +1
kimbo
kimbo actually ... a little "restrained" zappaesquness might fit over the synth pad part (orange).... maybe..... hmmmm +1

Sweet, K! Lovely, mellow tones; clean and reserved playing. Sounds great in my headphones and that's my rubbish work headset! +0
kimbo
kimbo ...one day ide like to get my hands on a full set of your drum stems... I always really struggle to sort out your toms... cymbals/ overheads are always really easy from you and kick is easy anyhow.. I generally take 3 stereo copies of your drum track straight in and get drastic with the EQ (subtractive!) one searching kick and compression (I dont tag a sample), one searching hi's again light compression. and one searching toms...bloody difficult! then I blend them back together and I might side chain some gated plate reverb on a frequency looking primarily at snare area. from there I glue it with reverb it all back together...cross my fingers and hope:) it would be so much easier with the stems from each drum track. still, that fun for another time.
well done mate.

mpointon Thanks, Kimbo. I'll see if I can sort that out. My cloud storage (BT) detects music files and blocks them for downloading assuming that you're sharing illegal music! :@ +1
mpointon
mpointon Zipping up the files doesn't fool it either! +0
